We are pleased to release our new addition to Dispenser.tf - Market.

Here is a short FAQ about the new site, hopefully it will answer most commonly asked questions.

1. What is the difference between Dispenser.tf market and the Steam's community market?

Here is a few:

a. Our base credit is "Key" and "Bitcoin".
b. We feature trading between Bitcoin, Steam gifts (including untradable ones) and key interchanging.
c. Our fee is much lower than Steam market's, which should result in lowered item price.
d. We do not have the design flaw that the final exchange price only follows the user's input price, but ignoring if there are better price orders on the book.

2. Why make a market system at all?

We have been criticized for being too buyer unfriendly for having a poor search system and a somewhat complicated interface. The old system could not be further improved due to technical difficulties. For example, we could sort items by price as we did not have a common currency. We hope a market system can solve many of these problems and at the same time adds useful features. Also, there is a need to change the business model so that the website is actually self-sustainable and rewarding for increasing the amount of users. In our old model, more people using the website gives us no real benefit but paying more for the maintenance.

3. What will happen to the old system?

The old system will be kept for now. If you prefer the old style, you still can create those 'tradition trades'. However, we will no longer list these trades under the main page and search also won't support it. As a seller, that means you will have to send out your trade links directly to your buyers. The old system won't be developed much anymore. It's only kept to waive fee for sellers who have their own customers base and do not rely on the site to get exposure.

4. What is the new fee system?

We will be charging fee to support the long-term development of the site. It is a progressive structure that the fee percent is based on the volume traded in 30 days.

June is going to be the public beta testing period. We will not be taking any fees until July 13 BTC issue is resolved. But the trade volume you have made in this period will still be counted, which means your fee could be as low as 0.25% once we start taking fee.

5. Are there any other updates to the site?

In addition to the market, we have made two very important updates to fix certain important problems.

a. CS:GO trading no longer uses Valve's abandoned API. There should be no longer any downtime for CS:GO trading and at the same time we have added skin, exteriors and various item info to all CS:GO items.

b. Gem, trading cards and other community items now will be distributed via centralized bots, to bypass a limitation added by Valve recently that disabled limited accounts (including our bots) for trading these items. You may now notice trade offers coming from non-shop bots when you exchange these items.

c. Lots of bug fixes and an interface change, mainly to adapt to the market system.

6. So, how should I get started?

As a buyer, the only real change about purchasing item is that there is one more step involved: depositing keys for credit. After you have convert your keys to credit, you will search and buy your items just like how you used to, in a slightly different interface. But if you have experience in the Steam market or other similar markets, our market should not be difficult to use at all. It is like Steam market with keys and Bitcoin as currency. Please read the FAQ if you need some help.

As a seller, making orders may be more troublesome than before if you have many different types of items, due to the limitation that you can only update one market at a time. But now you have more options for your trades, for example selling a gift for 6.05 keys, or re-selling gifts by putting ask and bid orders in the same market etc. We will continue to improve the interface so that handling a lot of gifts could be easier. Before creating orders, please make sure you are in the correct market (key/BTC). Please also remember the price is in TF2 keys.

NOTE: If you have Steam community items prior to the update, please re-deposit them all. We need to re-index these items.

Hu, like already mentioned, why not create 2 Sites(domains) for respective sytem ?,
For sellers no matter they can create any trades market or old system, but when a user open dispenserold he only get old trades and when open dispensernew only market itens, keep the fee for sellers its small, i dont know, but i only liked old style.
See no one is complaining about the fees for sellers its even less than a tf2outpost i believe.
Like mentioned fix teh csgo inventory bug on old style and then all is fine.

+1
VIP Lifetime change to monthly fees
Add more options to payment (not only 3 options)
Fix autobump.
And that's it.

Joto if You are not sure about it I think that there will be a lot of people who will be happy to pay / will task the restoration of the old dispenser in the new version with several improvements. Count me in ;)

Hey Joto, the ask order button is not working on the bitcoin part, please fix it, thank you.

Edit: Tried with Chrome, Firefox, and IE, none of them works.

Same problem, nothing happens when you click "New BId Order" button. Please fix. Cannot use site.

+1 for this too. Like I mentioned before, you should have taken the time to get a bit more feedback from your own community. Might have been surprised with the response...

As I see you transformed our trades into the new market system without asking us. Will we and our customers have to pay fees if someone uses the new market system to buy a game from me? (After July or so)
What if I only want to use the old system?

I have Far cry 3, and Far cry 3 deluxe. Even though I get 3 types of ROW results when searching for Far Cry 3, I only get my deluxe version in the market system. Why isn't this working right?

Will the sellers be rotated in the market section? Or they just have to put smaller and smaller prices to be below each other?

Of course you will get an option to choose once the fee starts. Won't force you to use market or anything.

If i place first any of my games for 5 key exp, why if some one other put after xxh same game with same price, why is the place above me on the market ?

Bacause no one scroll down to buy from the last seller, all are buying from the first.. And if i put first the game with this price, i need to be first on the list .

Good catch..I should change this.

im still a bit confused : if i want to sell games and i want csgo keys only as payment i only will get tf2 keys as credit ? because for some games i dont want tf2 keys

You will have to buy CS:GO key using your key credit.
I have thought of having CS:GO key as the third credit base, but I figured it will be even more confusing so I will let this run a while before adding other credit.

In my opinion the best thing You can do is creating something like outpost (autobump for premium - monthly paid) where all offers are listed by bumping time and if You want to read some details from seller You can unhide addition info - Unlike outpost all trades would be automated.

So, basicly, tf2op, but with automated trades?
Except tf2op has popularity, stable user base, 15 people in stuff and disp.tf has ehhhh... only Joto himself and automated trades? Well, and sellers (not buyers) who donated in the past.
I've been asking to make item matchers for tf2 robo parts for more that half of a year, still not even the slightest respond, not even "nope.avi" (and that's while I'm a donator who actually uses this site). And my previous post itt got ignored as well.

I read you but technically could not do that, maybe I forgot to answer but yeah that was the reason.

Gifts synchronization client is an application for exchanging game gifts bwteen your Steam and Dispenser.tf without using the Steam interface.

there a typo 'BWTEEN'

doesnt matter but yeah gotta look professional am i right

Joto, any chance for making for those who want to use dispenser in old style option for creating more payment options + creating option to exclusion one / many sort of key (for example I'm setting uncomons keys but I don't want to receive winter keys)?

and to be honest - new market stuff is really good creation but You have to understand that not for everyone it's why many of us want something like dispenser in old edition. Here is a thing : if someone have games for cheapest region it will be great to use market (I will for sure use it in future) but in cases when I have some games for reselling better place for me will be place like old dispenser -> if You gonna decide to create 2 separate websites You can gain more than developing only this one website;)

Hello Joto!

Is there easier way to change market listing price than cancelling order and then recreating it?

Also it would be nice if you added CREDIT item for wishlists when creating old style trade. This way i could have all my trades defined old-style, available both via old interface and new.

I'm using up to date firefox and cannot for the life of me buy keys with the BTC in my account. I fill in quantity and price and click on the "New Bid Order" button and nothing at all happens.

I also tried going directly to sellers and manually selecting items. At the bottom of page is a field that says, "Items to pay". That field will not respond. I cannot click it or enter text. How do I buy keys?

Edit; when using IE browser, I could see a bitcoin in the "items to pay" field. I then clicked onsite purchase and got error message.

im still a bit confused : if i want to sell games and i want csgo keys only as payment i only will get tf2 keys as credit ? because for some games i dont want tf2 keys

I just want say something about something of this.
If i sell some game, and some one other want to buy, and they have only csgo keys, i think, everyone are to lazy to swap keys on market and then buy the game. They will add me to buy the game, and its not point to add me, they need to buy from the market.

Maybe, if you put some ratio like this and there: http://prntscr.com/7gn04m with the curent price on market for csgo keys to tf2, so can buyers pay with csgo keys, but with the ratio on market we get the difference on our balance.
sry for bad english

Yeah I agree with people that both would be great: Dispenser Market & Dispenser with Trades ( the old system ). Two different parts, so if someone wants to check out the Market then he/she can choose it from the search or if somebody wants the old system with Shops/Trades then they can choose that. Both parts will make good income with VIP Shops, Slots donations, in general donations or if it will be a monthly Subscription that would be cool too. I really don't mind a monthly Subscription because it's a very useful and great website, of course if it will consist of both Market & Old System Trades/Shops too. In the end everyone will use what they want / need, income is coming frequently, improvements too = Everybody is happy, Done.
