We are pleased to release our new addition to Dispenser.tf - Market.

Here is a short FAQ about the new site, hopefully it will answer most commonly asked questions.

1. What is the difference between Dispenser.tf market and the Steam's community market?

Here is a few:

a. Our base credit is "Key" and "Bitcoin".
b. We feature trading between Bitcoin, Steam gifts (including untradable ones) and key interchanging.
c. Our fee is much lower than Steam market's, which should result in lowered item price.
d. We do not have the design flaw that the final exchange price only follows the user's input price, but ignoring if there are better price orders on the book.

2. Why make a market system at all?

We have been criticized for being too buyer unfriendly for having a poor search system and a somewhat complicated interface. The old system could not be further improved due to technical difficulties. For example, we could sort items by price as we did not have a common currency. We hope a market system can solve many of these problems and at the same time adds useful features. Also, there is a need to change the business model so that the website is actually self-sustainable and rewarding for increasing the amount of users. In our old model, more people using the website gives us no real benefit but paying more for the maintenance.

3. What will happen to the old system?

The old system will be kept for now. If you prefer the old style, you still can create those 'tradition trades'. However, we will no longer list these trades under the main page and search also won't support it. As a seller, that means you will have to send out your trade links directly to your buyers. The old system won't be developed much anymore. It's only kept to waive fee for sellers who have their own customers base and do not rely on the site to get exposure.

4. What is the new fee system?

We will be charging fee to support the long-term development of the site. It is a progressive structure that the fee percent is based on the volume traded in 30 days.

June is going to be the public beta testing period. We will not be taking any fees until July 13 BTC issue is resolved. But the trade volume you have made in this period will still be counted, which means your fee could be as low as 0.25% once we start taking fee.

5. Are there any other updates to the site?

In addition to the market, we have made two very important updates to fix certain important problems.

a. CS:GO trading no longer uses Valve's abandoned API. There should be no longer any downtime for CS:GO trading and at the same time we have added skin, exteriors and various item info to all CS:GO items.

b. Gem, trading cards and other community items now will be distributed via centralized bots, to bypass a limitation added by Valve recently that disabled limited accounts (including our bots) for trading these items. You may now notice trade offers coming from non-shop bots when you exchange these items.

c. Lots of bug fixes and an interface change, mainly to adapt to the market system.

6. So, how should I get started?

As a buyer, the only real change about purchasing item is that there is one more step involved: depositing keys for credit. After you have convert your keys to credit, you will search and buy your items just like how you used to, in a slightly different interface. But if you have experience in the Steam market or other similar markets, our market should not be difficult to use at all. It is like Steam market with keys and Bitcoin as currency. Please read the FAQ if you need some help.

As a seller, making orders may be more troublesome than before if you have many different types of items, due to the limitation that you can only update one market at a time. But now you have more options for your trades, for example selling a gift for 6.05 keys, or re-selling gifts by putting ask and bid orders in the same market etc. We will continue to improve the interface so that handling a lot of gifts could be easier. Before creating orders, please make sure you are in the correct market (key/BTC). Please also remember the price is in TF2 keys.

NOTE: If you have Steam community items prior to the update, please re-deposit them all. We need to re-index these items.

can we transfer credits to bot? instead of steam account

can we transfer credits to bot? instead of steam account

Not manually, sometimes the credit is transferred to your bot to utilize space however. We encourage items to go out of the system as much as possible rather than staying here, for various reasons.

"10" seems as "1e+1"

Thanks for the reply Joto. However there's no button for withdrawing keys.

Is this bug exclusive to me?

Edit : I have deposited more keys and now I can withdraw keys. It fixed itself I think.

2nd Edit: I would like to ask a question.

What If one our listed items becomes tradable, i.e 30 days have past after purchase date. Do our orders get canceled?

If i place first any of my games for 5 key exp, why if some one other put after xxh same game with same price, why is the place above me on the market ?

Bacause no one scroll down to buy from the last seller, all are buying from the first.. And if i put first the game with this price, i need to be first on the list .

im still a bit confused : if i want to sell games and i want csgo keys only as payment i only will get tf2 keys as credit ? because for some games i dont want tf2 keys

As I see you transformed our trades into the new market system without asking us. Will we and our customers have to pay fees if someone uses the new market system to buy a game from me? (After July or so)
What if I only want to use the old system?

I have Far cry 3, and Far cry 3 deluxe. Even though I get 3 types of ROW results when searching for Far Cry 3, I only get my deluxe version in the market system. Why isn't this working right?

Will the sellers be rotated in the market section? Or they just have to put smaller and smaller prices to be below each other?

In new system if You are not living in cheapest region You can go *** Yourself. In old one You had a chance to interest buyers by Your offer - and actually no filtering by price was fair for sellers (even if it would be great for buyers - the most important people on such sites are sellers : those who generate popularity).
I hope Joto that You have some idea to satisfy old-school sellers coz now it's just like I said - good for plp from the cheapest region only. In my opinion the best thing You can do is creating something like outpost (autobump for premium - monthly paid) where all offers are listed by bumping time and if You want to read some details from seller You can unhide addition info - Unlike outpost all trades would be automated.

Hey Joto, the ask order button is not working on the bitcoin part, please fix it, thank you.

Edit: Tried with Chrome, Firefox, and IE, none of them works.

So, basicly, tf2op, but with automated trades?
Except tf2op has popularity, stable user base, 15 people in stuff and disp.tf has ehhhh... only Joto himself and automated trades? Well, and sellers (not buyers) who donated in the past.
I've been asking to make item matchers for tf2 robo parts for more that half of a year, still not even the slightest respond, not even "nope.avi" (and that's while I'm a donator who actually uses this site). And my previous post itt got ignored as well.

Will the sellers be rotated in the market section? Or they just have to put smaller and smaller prices to be below each other?

I agree with Thoth. It must be rotated for same price. Or sellers have to put .99 .98 .97 price for top position.

there is a problem with the sites timezone too.

not sure if related to this thread but i set it up to my local timezone (Budapest/Europe) and its not showing 2:54 PM

edit: also can i ask that how long does it usually take for my btc transaction to get approved ?

thanks.

also dont worry Joto the site is better than it was, they just cant adapt to changes. Everyone cries when a youtube update comes with new like/dislike system or whatever, and then when they change that one year later, then they start to cry again that this one was the best.

Just make sure u remove the buyer fee from both key/btc trades once it goes online, and i think other than the bugfixes we are good to go, and everyone will be happy with the new system in a few weeks.

I don't really care about the Market, I only care about the old automated Trades/Old System that must be kept on Dispenser. Because of that this Dispenser Site is more popular now and because of Sellers not Buyers. So not caring about your Sellers on your own site is kinda ridiculous. We Sellers started buying VIP accounts, donating for more Shop Slots, donating in general just because Dispenser was great before the new Market system. Plus we Sellers made Dispenser a more popular site by advertising on different trading websites for Selling Games Automated, easy and safe. Keeping the Old Style Trades/System too is a must because that is why Dispenser is still alive. I know from experience before and a lot of people added me to ask how they can use the Shop. So this Market System is not easier or better for new Buyers and Sellers too. With Wishlist items like the Old System Trades will always be better. That's my opinion.

I agree with all you said :)

I like the old system too for the fact that I can create trades with batches and select key types I want for it. Now with the new Market seems all of those are gone. Well technically trades is not yet gone for now but surely no longer on the search result page, but if it goes to there with only the new system left then I guess..... that's life :) we don't own this site, so it's only deal with it, adapt, change embrace and goodbye :D The Market is not all that bad, it's actually also nice but it's just different from trades.

Suggestion, why not just keep both. Add search function with a dropdown to search via market or trades.
Or put the new system on /market/, bring back old search system and add then add a section on the search result page where we can also see the related items on the market(new system) or vice versa.
Also I wish there's a filter system for Regions when searching :)

Friends explained to me the points I have to do to sell gifts, i create trade but i cant see it after search? Old trade system be so easy and its be great, but this new ******* oh.
