We are pleased to release our new addition to Dispenser.tf - Market.

Here is a short FAQ about the new site, hopefully it will answer most commonly asked questions.

1. What is the difference between Dispenser.tf market and the Steam's community market?

Here is a few:

a. Our base credit is "Key" and "Bitcoin".
b. We feature trading between Bitcoin, Steam gifts (including untradable ones) and key interchanging.
c. Our fee is much lower than Steam market's, which should result in lowered item price.
d. We do not have the design flaw that the final exchange price only follows the user's input price, but ignoring if there are better price orders on the book.

2. Why make a market system at all?

We have been criticized for being too buyer unfriendly for having a poor search system and a somewhat complicated interface. The old system could not be further improved due to technical difficulties. For example, we could sort items by price as we did not have a common currency. We hope a market system can solve many of these problems and at the same time adds useful features. Also, there is a need to change the business model so that the website is actually self-sustainable and rewarding for increasing the amount of users. In our old model, more people using the website gives us no real benefit but paying more for the maintenance.

3. What will happen to the old system?

The old system will be kept for now. If you prefer the old style, you still can create those 'tradition trades'. However, we will no longer list these trades under the main page and search also won't support it. As a seller, that means you will have to send out your trade links directly to your buyers. The old system won't be developed much anymore. It's only kept to waive fee for sellers who have their own customers base and do not rely on the site to get exposure.

4. What is the new fee system?

We will be charging fee to support the long-term development of the site. It is a progressive structure that the fee percent is based on the volume traded in 30 days.

June is going to be the public beta testing period. We will not be taking any fees until July 13 BTC issue is resolved. But the trade volume you have made in this period will still be counted, which means your fee could be as low as 0.25% once we start taking fee.

5. Are there any other updates to the site?

In addition to the market, we have made two very important updates to fix certain important problems.

a. CS:GO trading no longer uses Valve's abandoned API. There should be no longer any downtime for CS:GO trading and at the same time we have added skin, exteriors and various item info to all CS:GO items.

b. Gem, trading cards and other community items now will be distributed via centralized bots, to bypass a limitation added by Valve recently that disabled limited accounts (including our bots) for trading these items. You may now notice trade offers coming from non-shop bots when you exchange these items.

c. Lots of bug fixes and an interface change, mainly to adapt to the market system.

6. So, how should I get started?

As a buyer, the only real change about purchasing item is that there is one more step involved: depositing keys for credit. After you have convert your keys to credit, you will search and buy your items just like how you used to, in a slightly different interface. But if you have experience in the Steam market or other similar markets, our market should not be difficult to use at all. It is like Steam market with keys and Bitcoin as currency. Please read the FAQ if you need some help.

As a seller, making orders may be more troublesome than before if you have many different types of items, due to the limitation that you can only update one market at a time. But now you have more options for your trades, for example selling a gift for 6.05 keys, or re-selling gifts by putting ask and bid orders in the same market etc. We will continue to improve the interface so that handling a lot of gifts could be easier. Before creating orders, please make sure you are in the correct market (key/BTC). Please also remember the price is in TF2 keys.

NOTE: If you have Steam community items prior to the update, please re-deposit them all. We need to re-index these items.

I have few remarks concerning our actual shops.
1. Buyer comes to my shop but he can only see 25 offers. There are sellers who have way more then 25 listings. So after all efforts, time consumed in advertising my shop and in some cases money spent to advertise my shop, buyer comes to my shop and i cant present him my complete offer.
2. A buyer comes to my shop. He see game he want to purchase, he click on that game and now all the sudden he can see same game with different prices from 50 other shops.Naturaly he selects a shop with lower price. At that point all my time and efforts spent in advertising my shop, and maybe money spent in advertising are lost. I dont see hows that fair to my business. When i go to grocery shop i dont see pricess from all shops in town.
3. Dispensers sorting sistem is troublesome. New game comes out and I find myself racing to put that game first on market in hopes i will take number one spot, or waiting for someone to create first ask order and then i enter market with 1 % lower price. This is all becaouse first spot has a chance of selling, other shops are on indefinite waiting list. Now, hows that fair to us, sellers, we all payed for those gifts that are now sitting in dispenser, waiting for the number one on list to sell his stock.
I know system is young and it needs to be worked on but this is not going well for sellers. And less sellers will in fact increase price, not lower it down.

pool trade number is not upgrading if the buyer is buying it using the market

lets say as an example: i got 500 marios, its showing 500 in the bottom right corner on my trade, someone buys some on the market, but its still saying 500 on the bottom right corner on my trade unless i click on it, and save the trade again.

if you could fix that thanks

Hello.

I'm sure you put a lot of effort into updating how the site works. I really hope your new system works out.

Just wanted to say that the "tradition trades" were the only reason I ever used this site. This was always one of the most efficient ways to trade, as you could usually find well priced items, and it was so much faster than having to wait on someone to add you just to trade.

This new system is inefficient and unnecessarily complex. I will not use a system that charges fees for transactions for trades that can be made without them by other means. I will not be using this site anymore.

Good luck, and thank you for the service that you used to provide. Hopefully some other site does not steal your idea, and your users.

joto please change sorting system or add this function. im selling different games in one trade (same price) when i add new games to this trade other games going last place in market. if u add this i can sell for x.99-x.95 too. or need random sorting system.

u can add one more wishlist for selling in market. example we can sell for 7 keys and 10 ref (this for old system) or 7.5 keys (for new system) if people will buy with old system they can choose 7 keys and 10 ref option, if they will use market 7.5 keys. i think its easy for you.
with current system we have to make 2x trade for this, one for market one for old style.

I use third-party sites for sales but i do not want to lose the search dispenser, it is possible that it appears in search engine if separate commission payment?
i can add funds credit key and pay fee,if i use search dispenser i cant use links in others sites

please reconsider the use dispenser engine and links with fee,thx

this site is now retarded, bye

We should settle with no fee for buyers.

The old system will also be kept. Just that the old search won't find it's way back to the main page (Well, there can be a secret URL or some sort, but it is not something we want the majority to keep using).

How can we get this secret url? Please understand that this issue is very important for some people like me, that has to always look for the cheapest. It could be good if at least VIP account could have this link.

Joto, how you changing the csgo-tf2 rating ? average of csgo keys from market / tf2 price ?
Or its the rate fixed to 1.06 ?

And where going all csgo keys ? Because we can only withdraw tf2 keys ?

Bad system implanted
GL with that
who wants to change the key to trade something that is worth less than the key
this system harassing buyer and sellers.. mainly buyer
you will lose a lot of traders

Going to make a somewhat big update today, you won't have 50 lines if you make 50 individual orders of 1 each.

Your request is not realistic. If you take the item off site of course you will lose the place in queue. If you don't want to lose that make smaller orders and leave some gifts for reserve.

Sure, but if I just want to de-list one item out of 50, is there a reason I have to remove 50 and then re-add 49? Even Steam allows you to do this if you create individual sell orders (not bulk orders though).

Also, thank you for fixing the multiple lines thing before it got out of hand, but I found that I can still make it happen by using the old item trades:

Might want to patch that as well.

Joto, you are using the csgo keys from us for 1.06 and selling it on your own site for 1.08 ??? Explain please.

Explain what? Even if we allow people to withdraw CS:GO keys the deposit and withdraw rate won't be the same. Or else we are going to be a banking service and a slight change of the key prices would hurt us very much.

You can buy ref/BTC etc. to take away the remaining if you really want to.

Unless we automatically make 50 x quantity x1 orders at the beginning,I don't see how it is possible to remove 1 item from an order of 50. The list of orders will be very long for this.

About the latter issue, I do not think it will be a serious problem anymore once there is fees. People who don't like the market system will soon choose not to display their trades there. So using old trades to spam the market and pay fee does not seem like something sellers may want to do. But I should make a slight patch that you cannot create multiple of the same trades.
