what if i have 10 items (and a max. inventory of 10)
and i sell an item for 2 ref... would i get 11 items in my inventory? (9 items 2 metal)
or how is this getting solved???

You will have 11/10 but your shop won't be able to trade unless you withdraw to put your inventory within the limit.
